Job Description

• Lead the development and execution of the company’s business strategy.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, market requirements, and current solutions, with a focus on technical KPIs.
• Identify, evaluate, and pursue key business opportunities across various industries and regions.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to assess drivers, regulatory impacts, and growth potential in selected European markets.
• Develop and test business cases, performing scenario analysis to validate strategic decisions.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry partners.
• Develop and implement customer and market strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities with high-value targets.
• Lead the negotiation and securing of LOIs (Letters of Intent) and partnership agreements.
• Track, report, and analyze commercial progress to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Prepare and present research, analysis, and strategy proposals for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a strategic advisor and sparring partner to the executive management team.

Your profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, preferably within the renewable energy sector or related industries. Experience with energy storage, Battery Electric Storage Systems (BESS), or power markets is highly desirable.
• A relevant university degree or equivalent.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a persuasive and customer-centric approach.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to question the status quo, bringing innovative and out-of-the-box solutions to the table.
• Full-time availability (36-40 hours per week) with the willingness to travel internationally as required.
• Currently residing in the Netherlands with a valid working permit, and the ability to work from or commute to our Amsterdam Science Park location at least 50% of the time.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in Dutch, German, Spanish, or Polish being an advantage.
